Shani was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. She moved to West Palm Beach as a toddler and grew up in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Evans High School where she had many accomplishments such as Junior Class Vice President, Student Government Association Secretary, Alpha Xi Alpha Sorority Founder/President, and she also danced in the marching band as a Flag Girl. Shani started off as a Nursing student major, then transferred to Business Marketing at Seminole State College.
